Da Qiao, also known as Elder Qiao, is a figure prominently featured in historical fiction, particularly in adaptations of the classic Chinese novel, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. She is often depicted in movies and television series focusing on this era.

Historically, Da Qiao was the elder daughter of Qiao Xuan, a respected official during the late Eastern Han Dynasty. She was renowned for her exceptional beauty, and her hand in marriage, along with her younger sister Xiao Qiao, was highly sought after.

In most adaptations, Da Qiao marries Sun Ce, a powerful warlord who laid the foundation for the Wu Kingdom. Their marriage is typically portrayed as being one of love and respect, though sadly cut short by Sun Ce's early death. Da Qiao is usually depicted as a virtuous and loyal wife, deeply mourning her husband's passing.

While her historical impact may be debated, Da Qiao's character serves as a symbol of beauty and virtue within the context of the turbulent Three Kingdoms period, frequently adding a romantic and tragic element to the narrative.
